रायपुर। अखिल भारतीय किसान सभा से संबद्ध छत्तीसगढ़ किसान सभा ने केंद्र की मोदी सरकार द्वारा चना, दाल, बादाम, अखरोट, सेब, बोरिक एसिड और डायग्नोस्टिक अभिकर्मकों सहित विभिन्न अमेरिकी उत्पादों पर टैरिफ कम करने के फैसले को भारतीय किसानों और उपभोक्ताओं के हितों पर चोट बताते हुए इसे वापस लेने की मांग की है। किसान सभा ने कहा है कि सरकार के इस कदम से भारतीय बाजार अमेरिकी उत्पादों से पट जाएंगे।
आज यहां जारी एक बयान में छत्तीसगढ़ किसान सभा के संयोजक संजय पराते ने कहा है कि मोदी सरकार ने यह फैसला विश्व व्यापार संगठन में लंबित व्यापार विवाद को सुलझाने के नाम पर किया है, जबकि सभी जानते हैं कि अमेरिका और यूरोपीय संघ अपने लाभ के लिए विश्व व्यापार संगठन के विवाद समाधान तंत्र का उपयोग कर रहे हैं। किसान सभा ने विश्व व्यापार संगठन से कृषि के क्षेत्र को बाहर करने की अपनी मांग को पुनः दुहराया है।
किसान सभा नेता ने कहा है कि एक अमेरिकी किसान को 61286 डॉलर की सब्सिडी मिलती है, जबकि एक भारतीय किसान को मात्र 282 डॉलर की। इसके बावजूद अमेरिका और यूरोपीय संघ यहां के किसानों को न्यूनतम समर्थन मूल्य की प्रणाली से वंचित करना चाहता है। ऐसे में अमेरिकी और भारतीय किसानों के बीच किसी भी प्रकार की प्रतियोगिता की कल्पना भी नहीं की जा सकती। उस पर अमेरिकी उत्पादों पर शुल्कों में कटौतियां भारतीय किसानों के हितों के समर्पण के सिवा और कुछ नहीं है।
उन्होंने कहा कि वर्ष 2020 में मुक्त व्यापार समझौते के नाम पर अमेरिका के लिए भारतीय बाजार के दरवाजे पोल्ट्री और डेयरी उत्पादों के लिए खोलने के विनाशकारी परिणाम सामने आए हैं, क्योंकि भारतीय किसानों की आय में 25% की गिरावट दर्ज की गई है। अब सेब, दाल आदि में शुल्कों की कटौती से किसानों की बदहाली और बढ़ेगी। किसान सभा ने भारतीय किसानों का अहित करने वाले मुक्त व्यापार समझौते न करने की अपील केंद्र सरकार से की है।

*Kisan Sabha calls tariff exemption on American products an injury to the interests of Indian farmers, demands its withdrawal*
Raipur. Chhattisgarh Kisan Sabha, affiliated to All India Kisan Sabha, termed the decision of the Modi government at the Center to reduce tariffs on various American products including gram, pulses, almonds, walnuts, apples, boric acid and diagnostic reagents as an attack on the interests of Indian farmers and consumers and demands to take it back. Kisan Sabha has said that with this step of the government, the Indian market will be flooded with American products.
In a statement issued here today, Convenor of Chhattisgarh Kisan Sabha Sanjay Parate has said that the Modi government has taken this decision in the name of resolving the pending trade dispute in the World Trade Organisation, while everyone knows that for their own benefit, America and the European Union are using the WTO's dispute settlement mechanism. Kisan Sabha has reiterated its demand to exclude the agricultural sector from the World Trade Organization.
Kisan Sabha leader has said that an American farmer gets a subsidy of 61286 dollars, while an Indian farmer gets only 282 dollars. Despite this, America and the European Union want to deprive the farmers here of the minimum support price system. In such a situation, any kind of competition between American and Indian farmers cannot be imagined. Moreover, the reduction in duties on American products is nothing but a surrender to the interests of Indian farmers.
He said that opening the doors of the Indian market to the US for poultry and dairy products in the name of free trade agreement in the year 2020 has had disastrous consequences as the income of Indian farmers has declined by 25%. Now the plight of farmers will increase further due to reduction in duties on apple, pulses etc. Kisan Sabha has appealed to the Central Government not to make free trade agreements that harm Indian farmers.
